What You Need to Know for 2027

Benefits You Can Count On

Choosing your benefits is a personal decision. The coverage that works best for you depends on your health, your family and what you expect in the year ahead.

Each year, we review our benefit programs to balance the coverage you need with the rising cost of healthcare. For 2027, you’ll see changes in premiums and plan design, new benefits, and tools to help you better understand your options.

Annual Enrollment is your chance to review your benefits and make changes for the coming year. We encourage you to actively participate in 2027 Annual Enrollment. Take time to evaluate your options, so you can make the right decisions for yourself and your family for the coming year.

What’s New for 2027

Premium Increases

Medical, prescription drug and dental coverage will cost more in 2027. L3Harris will continue to pay most of the total cost of coverage. What you pay will depend on the plan you choose and whom you cover. You can view your 2027 rates on the enrollment site.

HPHP 1 Medical Plan Changes

The High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) must maintain IRS minimum deductible amounts to be eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA). If you cover only yourself or yourself and children in the HDHP 1 in 2027, your annual deductible will increase to meet this IRS requirement:

  • Employee only: $1,750 in-network ($50 increase from 2026), $3,500 out-of-network ($100 increase from 2026)
  • Employee + child(ren): $3,500 in-network ($100 increase from 2026), $7,000 out-of-network ($200 increase from 2026)

There are no changes for HDHP 2 or the Traditional Healthcare Plan (THP) in 2027.

NEW! Leap Health Infusion COE

The L3Harris-sponsored Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) medical plans will introduce Leap Health, an infusion care center of excellence (COE), as an in-network option. Leap Health offers lower-cost, flexible infusion therapy for participants with chronic or serious health conditions. When you engage with Leap Health, you get:

  • Flexibility to choose from treatment at home or a nearby clinic, even on evenings and weekends
  • A dedicated Care Guide to guide you through the process, including scheduling, insurance, authorizations and financial assistance
  • No cost to you (HDHP participants must first meet the IRS deductible to ensure compliance with IRS regulations)

Reminder! Carrum COE Required for Certain Surgeries

Carrum provides access to a center of excellence (COE) network for certain procedures. A COE is a facility that has earned top rankings for offering high-quality, lower-cost care with better overall outcomes. If you need bariatric, spine or joint (full and partial hip and knee) surgery, the L3Harris-sponsored BCBS medical plans require you to use a provider within Carrum’s COE network, or there will be no coverage.

NEW! Fertility Benefits Through Blue Cross Blue Shield

Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) will replace Kindbody for fertility and family-building support benefits under the L3Harris-sponsored BCBS medical plans. You will be able to access the same fertility coverage through the BCBS Blue Distinction centers of excellence network as Kindbody, including fertility assessments, IVF, IUI, cryopreservation, egg donor and surrogacy. This change streamlines access, as you will no longer have to go through a separate network of providers outside BCBS for fertility services.

If you are undergoing active fertility treatment with Kindbody as of December 31, 2026, you may be eligible to continue with Kindbody for up to 90 days. Contact Kindbody if you meet any of the following criteria:

  • You are taking stimulation medications in preparation for a retrieval or transfer.
  • You are scheduled for a retrieval or egg/embryo freezing or IVF procedure.
  • You have already prepped for an embryo transfer (e.g., pelvic sonogram/checking of uterine lining).
  • You have received authorization for fertility treatment, including IVF or IUI, that will take place within the 90-day transition period.

NEW! Menopause Support Through Blue Cross Blue Shield

Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) Care Connected will replace Kindbody for menopause support benefits under the L3Harris-sponsored BCBS medical plans. Board-certified health coaches are trained to support women through menopause, including symptom identification and management, behavioral health coaching, and diet and lifestyle modifications. In addition to self-paced activities and educational content, the program includes personalized support from specialists by text or phone.

Increased HSA Limits and New L3Harris Contribution Requirement

If you enroll in one of the High Deductible Healthcare Plans (HDHP 1 or HDHP 2), you can contribute to a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account (HSA). The IRS limits the total pre-tax amount that can be contributed each year. For 2027, that limit is $4,500 for individual coverage and $9,000 if you cover dependents. This limit includes both your contribution and any company contributions. If you’re age 55 or older in 2027, you can make an additional $1,000 pre-tax catch-up contribution.

NEW! To earn quarterly L3Harris contributions to your HSA in 2027, you must watch three short educational benefits videos on the enrollment site by November 30, 2026.

Company contributions depend on the plan and coverage level you elect. Be sure to account for both L3Harris’ and your contributions when considering your maximum allowable contribution for 2027.

Life Insurance Special Enrollment

During Annual Enrollment, you can increase your and your spouse/domestic partner’s Supplemental Life Insurance coverage without providing evidence of insurability (EOI).

  • Employee Life Insurance: You can increase your current supplemental coverage by one times your annual base pay plus target bonus (if applicable), up to a maximum of 10 times or $3.25 million when combined with the company-provided life insurance coverage.
  • Spouse/Domestic Partner: You can elect coverage for the first time or increase your spouse/domestic partner’s current coverage up to the $50,000 coverage amount.

In addition, there will be two Child Life Insurance coverage options in 2027: $10,000 and $20,000. If your child’s current coverage is less than $10,000, you will default to the $10,000 coverage automatically—no action is required. However, you can always change your coverage amount at any time with no EOI required.

Long-Term Care + Whole Life Insurance Special Enrollment

During Annual Enrollment, you can enroll in Long-Term Care (LTC) + Whole Life Insurance for the first time or increase your existing coverage without providing evidence of insurability (EOI). LTC + Whole Life Insurance, provided by The Standard, offers two benefits in one policy: an LTC benefit to pay for care if you can no longer care for yourself and a permanent life insurance policy to protect your family. If you elect coverage for yourself, you may also elect coverage for your spouse/domestic partner.

NEW! Juno Child Disability Insurance

Juno Child Disability Insurance offers a monthly financial benefit if your child develops a severe illness, injury or disability. Juno also provides personalized navigation and support resources to help you learn more about your child’s condition, apply for eligible state and federal programs, connect with peers, and more. One policy covers all eligible children in the family from birth through age 26. A benefit is only payable if a child is diagnosed after you enroll in the coverage.

Note: Child Disability Insurance is available to elect during Annual Enrollment only. You cannot enroll during the year, even if you have a life change event.

NEW! Cariloop Caregiver Benefit

Cariloop is a caregiver concierge benefit that provides support for caregivers through an on-demand platform and access to expert Care Coaches. Your Care Coach can help guide you through the many decisions you have to make as a caregiver, such as everyday challenges of caregiving, finding a provider, choosing care, managing a diagnosis, navigating Medicare, and more. L3Harris will provide one month of unlimited Cariloop coaching services at no cost to you, then you may purchase extended coaching coverage through Cariloop. Online tools and resources are always available at no cost to you.

Securian Replaces MetLife for Certain Voluntary Benefits

Securian will replace MetLife as the insurer for the hospital indemnity, critical illness and accident insurance plans. With Securian, the plans will offer lower premiums and several benefits enhancements, including fertility coverage (under the critical illness policy). If you are currently enrolled in one or more of these plans with MetLife, your coverage will transition to Securian automatically—no action is required.

Genomic Life Enhancements

The Genomic Life genetic screening and cancer support benefit will offer two new cancer screenings in 2027:

  • An enhanced pre-cancer screening blood test that can help detect more than 50 types of cancers (available to participants whose genetic health screen shows they are at higher-than-average risk)
  • Non-invasive, at-home colon cancer screening as an alternative to colonoscopies

Genomic Life is only available during Annual Enrollment or with a life change event.

Identity Protection Enhancements

Allstate is simplifying its coverage options in 2027. The higher level of protection—known as Pro+ Cyber—will be offered at the current lower Pro+ premium. The Pro+ coverage level will no longer be offered. If you are enrolled in the Pro+ coverage level currently, your coverage will transition to Pro+ Cyber automatically—no action is required.

Pet Health Changes

ASPCA will no longer accept payroll deductions in 2027, so any pet insurance coverage with ASPCA will transition to PetPartners automatically—no action is required. Nationwide will continue to be available as another pet insurance option.

In some cases, you may prefer to keep your current ASPCA pet insurance coverage. If you currently have ASPCA pet insurance and want to learn more about the pet plan changes effective January 1, 2027—including the option to keep your current ASPCA coverage through direct bill—contact the L3Harris Employee Savings Customer Care team at 1.888.935.9595 or CustomerCare@corestream.com.

Note: Pet Benefit Solutions, which offers discounted services at network vets and members-only pricing on pet supplies, has changed its name to Wishbone. There is no change in benefits.

Action Required

If you do not actively enroll or make changes to your coverage during the Annual Enrollment period—between October 19 and November 6—most of your 2026 benefit elections will roll over to 2027 at the same coverage level. If you do not want to change plans or coverage levels, or add or remove dependents, no action is required. However, there are a few exceptions:

R

Health Savings Account (HSA): If you contribute to an HSA, your 2026 HSA contribution election will not carry over to 2027. You must actively elect to contribute to an HSA during Annual Enrollment if you want your deductions to start during the first pay period in 2027. You also can elect to start contributing or change your contributions at any time during the year.

R

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs): If you contribute to a Health Care or Dependent Care FSA, your 2026 FSA elections will not carry over to 2027. You must actively elect to contribute to the FSAs each year and can only do so during Annual Enrollment.

R

Short-Term Disability Insurance (STD): Regardless of whether you are enrolled in 2026, you will automatically be enrolled in the STD Buy-Up Plan in 2027, and premiums will be deducted from your pay on a pre-tax basis. If you do not want to keep this coverage, you must opt out during Annual Enrollment. You will not be able to make changes during the year.

R

Long-Term Disability Insurance (LTD): Regardless of whether you are enrolled in 2026, you will automatically be enrolled in the LTD Plan in 2027, and premiums will be deducted from your pay on an after-tax basis. If you do not want to keep this coverage, you can opt out during Annual Enrollment or at any time during the year. However, if you decline LTD coverage and later want to enroll, coverage will be subject to pre-existing condition limitations. Please note that in the unfortunate event you experience a qualifying disability that extends beyond the STD plan limit (i.e., 13 weeks), you will have no income from L3Harris if you are not enrolled in the LTD Plan.

R

Finalize your enrollment and print or save a copy of your elections.

Enrolled in an HDHP medical plan? Watch three educational videos on the enrollment site by November 30, 2026 to earn the 2027 L3Harris quarterly contributions to your HSA. If you do not watch the videos by November 30, 2026, you will not be eligible for the company HSA funding in 2027.

After Enrollment

R

Look for your 2027 Annual Enrollment Confirmation Statement to arrive by email link on November 10 after enrollment ends on November 6. Review your confirmation statement carefully, ensuring the plans you selected are correct, and all dependents have been added to the appropriate coverages. If anything is inaccurate, contact the Enrollment Center immediately.
